Day 00.  Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi, India's bustling capital city. It was from here that Hindu, Muslim and Moghul dynasties, as well as the British, ruled. Arrive and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

We  will take you on a tour to New Delhi where you can visit the Qutab Minar and the colorful Birla Mandir. Besides this, a drive along Rajpath would let you see sights as the Parliament, President's Palace, and India Gate. This luxury tour includes an afternoon tour to Old Delhi. Visit the spectacular Red Fort with its Pearl Mosque and exquisite audience halls; the Mahatma Gandhi memorial; Ashoka Pillar and the mile long Chandni Chowk bazaar and the Jama Masjid. A ride on the tricycle to the narrow lanes of Old Delhi would be a unique experience.

Day 01. Delhi /Varanasi
Morning after breakfast we will proceed for the holy city of Varanasi by flight. The city is located on the sacred River Ganga and is well connected. On arrival at Varanasi you will be transferred to the hotel, enroute visit the stupas, ruins, and museum at Sarnath, scene of Buddha's first sermon.

Day 02. Varanasi / Khajuraho
Early morning visit to the Ghats at Varanasi. Return to Hotel for breakfast. Relax for few hours in the hotel. Thereafter in time transfer to airport for flight to Khajuraho. On arrival, you will be met and received by our representative.   Transfer to the hotel. On this luxury tour you can visit the city of Khajuraho containing the largest and loveliest temples, including Kandariya Mahadev, representing Chandela art at its best. We will also visit the eastern group of temples, which reflect the austerity of the Jains.

Day 03. Khajuraho - Orchha
Morning after breakfast we will proceed for Jhansi. Enroute visiting the medieval city of Orchha. The city is located on the banks of Betwa River set against the verdant hills and greenery. Orchha was the capital of the powerful Bundela kingdom and still retains its medieval charm.

Enjoy your lunch at a river side resort with a breathtaking beautiful location.

Continue drive to Jhansi Station to board on train to Agra. Arrive & transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 04. Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur
Morning tour of Agra city where you can see the magnificent Taj Mahal and many other historical sites of Agra. Drive to Jaipur enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. The pink city of Jaipur was founded by Raja jai Singh II, the 18th century Rajput king. It is replete with magnificent palaces; forts and gardens. Check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05. Jaipur
Next morning excursion to Amber Fort. You can enjoy a ride on the elegantly draped and painted elephants while you explore the high mountain fortress of Amber. The fort is a complex of palaces, temples, mirror inlaid public halls and is an exquisite example of Rajput architecture. Day 06. Jaipur - Jodhpur
Morning after breakfast proceed for Jodhpur. Reach and check in hotel. Evening enjoy your dinner at Palace turned Hotel by the Lake side, Balsamand Palace.
Return to Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07. Jodhpur
Moving on to the luxury tour we will visit the city of Jodhpur. Here you can see the Mehrangarh Fort, containing marvelously carved panels, latticed windows, and housing a fabulous collection of Rajput art. Visit the Jaswant Thada, a graceful marble cenotaph built in 1899 for Maharajah Jaswant Singh II, and monuments to other Maharajahs of Jodhpur.

Day 08. Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur

Day 09. Udaipur
Luxury tour to Udaipur would take you to the medieval city of Kumbhalgarh. A tour to Kumbhalgarh will take you amidst a cluster of 13 mountain peaks of the Aravalli ranges. The massive Kumbhalgarh fort, encompassed by a 36-km long wall, has seven majestic gates and seven ramparts, one within the other. Rounded bastions and soaring watchtowers strengthen the walls of the fort making it a strong structure. The city of Kumbhalgarh was the residence of Maharaja Udai Singh who later established the lake city of Udaipur. Day 10. Udaipur / Mumbai  / Aurangabad
Morning after breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai, you will be received by our representative and transferred to Hotel for wash and change. Evening transfer to the airport for flight to Aurangabad, site of the world famous rock-cut temples of Ajanta and Ellora. On this luxury tour you can visit three distinct group of temples, which relate the story of the evolution of Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism.

Day 11. Aurangabad
A tour of the city of Aurangabad would take you to on full day excursion of the Ajanta caves, one of India's most impressive archaeological sites. This is the place where Buddhist art attained the peak of its development, in frescoes and wall paintings revealing a fascinating lifestyle. These caves date back to the 3rd century and are carved out of a rocky gorge. Day 12. Excursion to Ellora Caves - Aurangabad - Mumbai
Visit some of the best sculpture sites of India. After visiting the Ajanta caves today you will take a tour of the Ellora Caves. Here you can see the Kailashnath Temple. It is perhaps the largest monolith ever created, and bears lavish testimony of the excellence of Dravidian art.
Evening transfer to the airport for flight back to Mumbai.

Aurangabad / Mumbai

Upon arrival in Mumbai, you will be transferred to Hotel for Overnight stay.

Day 13. Mumbai
Today morning we would take a tour of the Mumbai city. Visit the Elephanta caves, excursion across the harbor to Elephanta Island and its famous caves, filled with the carvings and sculptures dating to 550A.D. Afternoon tour of Mumbai includes the Gateway of India, the Hanging Gardens, Malabar Hills, the Prince of Wales Museum, Dhobi Ghat, Marine Drive, the Gandhi Memorial Museum and Jain Temple.

Day 14. Mumbai - Cochin
Morning after breakfast time at leisure. In time transfer to airport for flight to Cochin.

Kochi was an obscure fishing village that became the first European township in India. The town was shaped by the Portuguese, the Dutch and later the British. The Old Fort, Kochi / Cochin: Vasco da Gama, whose arrival in Kerala about 500 years ago opened up a new era of trade between India and Europe, died in Fort Kochi on Christmas eve in 1524. The house where he died is a huge Portuguese-style mansion on Rose Street, which stands close to the St. Francis Church, the first European church in India. In accordance with his last wishes, da Gama's remains were unearthed and send to Lisbon, Portugal, and reburied there in 1538.

Chinese Fishing Nets/Vasco da Gama Square: These huge cantilevered fishing nets are the legacy of one of the first visitors to the Malabar Coast. Erected here between 1350 and 1450 AD by traders from the court of Kublai Khan, these nets are set up on teak wood and bamboo poles.

Pierce Leslie Bungalow: This charming mansion was the office of Pierce Leslie & Co., coffee merchants, founded in 1862.

Old Harbour House: This elegant old bungalow built in 1808 is in the possession of Carrit Moran & Co., renowned tea brokers, who now use it as their residence. The house was once a boat club. India Holidays

Day 15: Cochin - Munnar
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning depart for Munnar (approx.4 hours journey), enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. Arrive Munnar and check in at hotel.

Munnar is situated at a distance of 70 km from Idukki is 1600 meter above the sea level. This hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala.

Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji. This flower which bathes the hills in blue every twelve years, will bloom next in 2006 AD. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India, Anamudi, which towers over 2695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking.

Mattupetty Hill Station (13 kms from Munnar) : It is famous for its Indo-Swiss livestock project, Mattupetty is situated at a height of 1700 m and is just 13 km from Munnar. There are over 100 varieties of high yielding cattle at the specialized dairy farm and visitors are allowed into three of the eleven cattle sheds at the farm. The Mattupetty Lake and Dam, just a short distance from the farm, is a very beautiful picnic spot.

Lock Heart Gap, 13 km from Munnar:  is an ideal place for adventure tourism and trekking.  The fresh mountain air, the mist-clad hills and panoramic view make it worthy of a visit. Rajamala, 15 km from Munnar, is the natural habitat of the Nilgiri Tahr. Half the world population of the rare mountain goat (Hemitragas hylocres) which is fast becoming extinct, is now found here. The Nilgiri Tahrs are today reduced to small herds found in the Eravikulam - Rajamala region. Echo Point, 15 km from Munnar, is a scenic place and gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon here.  Echo Point is on the way to Top Station from Munnar

Chithirapuram (10 km from Munnar): With its sleepy little cottages, bungalows, old playgrounds and courts, Chithirapuram still exudes an old world charm. Home of the Pallyvasal Hydel Power Project, this hill town is also famous for its picturesque tea plantations.

Day 16: Munnar
Full day city tour

Morning proceed for Munnar sightseeing after breakfast. Move through the tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometres.

Devikulam: Devikulam is one of the popular hill stations located in Kerala, South India and is definitely worth paying a visit to during your hill station tours to this part of South India. Day 17: Munnar - Thekkady
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for Thekkady - drive through tea estates, spice gardens and wild forests. Arrive Thekkady after a memorable drive of approx. 4 hours. Check in at hotel. In the evening visit Kumily market to buy the best spices available.

Kumily is the junction town straddling the Kerala Tamilnadu border just north of park boundary. It 's a busy place full of spice shops, located about 4 Km from Thekkady. The boat trip in the lake are the standard way of seeing the Sanctuary. The standard two hour boat trips available. Jungle walks can also be interesting.

Day 18: Thekkady
Today you can visit the rare species of plants and animals. Enjoy a boat ride at the lake watching wild animals and birds.

The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary:  Lying close to the plantations, in the rich jungles of Periyar in Thekkady is one of the world's most fascinating natural wildlife reserves - the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Spread across 777 sq. km, of which 360 sq. km is thick evergreen forest, the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Noted for its geo-morphological diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty, the Reserve attracts visitors from all over the world. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar remains the large herds of wild elephants that come down to the lake's edge.

Day 19: Thekkady - Kumarakom

 In the morning proceed to Kumarakom after breakfast. Arrive at Kumarakom, after a journey of approx. 5 hours enjoying the beauty of the traditional Keralian houses. The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, and this small water world is part of the Kuttanad region.

An enchanting backwater destination, Kumarakom offers visitors many other leisure options. Boating and fishing facilities are available at Kumarakom. A picturesque world of backwaters thatched houseboats, Cormorants, Chinese fishing nets and swaying palms - An ideal getaway.

Day 20: Kumarakom
After breakfast proceed to visit BIRD PARK of Kumarakom. Enjoy a day cruise at the backwaters or Vembanad Lake.

Kumarakom the charming emerald peninsula jutting into the ever-effervescent Vembanad Lake takes you into the heart of the scenic lake where you'll come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes. The fresh water of the lake runs into the mainland making a labyrinth of lagoons, brooks, canals and waterways. The backwater houses a variety of species of both fauna and flora. They are rich with marine life namely the exclusive 'Kumarakom Karimeen' (pearl spotted fish), Konju (tiger prawns), Njandu (crabs), Chemeen (prawns) and many more.

As the monsoon winds bring rain to the shores of Vembanad Lake, the Kumarakom is transformed into a rich fertile land. The streams, lagoons, brooks break their banks and provide nourishment to springs and shrubs that sprout from every available space.

Water birds, migratory birds, mangrove shores and the renowned bird sanctuary form their niche. The resorts nearby offer comfortable accommodation and exclusive leisure options like an Ayurvedic massage, yoga, meditation, boating, fishing and swimming. The adventurous could indulge in water sports such as windsailing and waterskiing. You could even take a canoe out into the quite lakes and armed with a fishing rod, catch your own supper. Kumarakom Bird sanctuary:  Located on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, the bird sanctuary is spread across 14 acres. The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, an ornithologist's paradise is a favourite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal.

A visit to the bird sanctuary, set within the lush acres of wooded land nearby, acquaints you to the variety of migratory birds that flock in thousands, some from the Himalayas, some even from as far as Siberia. In addition, you can get thrilled of the native kingfishers ablaze in psychedelic colours, experience a walk under rookeries of egrets and night herons or lone golden-backed woodpeckers and even delight in the acrobatics of the paradise fly-catchers.

Pathiramanal (sands of midnight), an enchanting island on the lake, can be accessed by boat from here. This 10 acre island on the backwaters is home to many rare varieties of migratory birds from different parts of the world. According to mythology a young Brahmin dived into the Vembanad

Lake to perform his evening ablutions and the water madeway for the land to rise from below. The island can be accessed only by boat. A cruise along the Vembanad Lake is the best way to experience the sanctuary.

Day 21: Kumarakom -Alleppey

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.

Board on House Boat for overnight cruise from Kumarakom Boat Jetty. Lunch and dinner will be served on board.



House Boat is a country boat that was used in the early days for the transport of goods from the isolated interior villages to the towns. With the advent of roads, bridges and ferry services, gradually the Kettuvalloms went off the scene. Now these kettuvalloms are back again as a major tourist attraction. A ride on a Kettuvallom is a fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters.

A houseboat is about 67 feet in length and has a width of around 13 feet in the middle. The materials that go into the making are local and ecofriendly; bamboo poles, coconut fibre, ropes, bamboo mats, carpets etc. The main wood used is "Anjili". There are houseboats with fully furnished single room, double room and triple rooms. All of them have sundeck, private balcony with comfortable chairs, kitchen and toilet with w.c. In addition there is a separate rest room for the crew. Traditional lanterns are used as lights. The crew includes a chef, and two oarsmen. The cuisine is of traditional Kerala flavour alongwith the local specialties; delicious fish and prawns. There are single bedroom houseboats for two people and two bedroom houseboats for four people.

A glide in a "Kettuvallam" (Houseboat) through the enchanting backwaters of Alleppey is sure to rob your heart. Palm fringed narrow canals winding through the vast expanse of paddy fields and the neat tiny hamlets lined up along either side of the canals are panoramic sight one can never forget.
Provision will be made for having traditional Kerala food, from local households. This will give you a chance to experience the traditional Kerala recipe, made in traditional utensils.

Kerala offers a unique mini - canvas to the traveller; the backwaters, which consist of a complex network of lagoons, lakes & canals. Day 22: Alleppey - Kovalam
After breakfast disembark the boat at Alleppey.

Day 23: Kovalam - Tiruvananthapuram
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed for Tiruvanthapuram. Start your half day city tour of Tiruvanthapuram.

It is also known as Tiruvananthapuram, the seaside capital of Kerala state, Trivandrum is surrounded by numerous hills and hilloks on which stand building and parks. Trivandrum literally means the 'Holy city of Ananta' and is a city of magnificent buildings of ancient and modern Architecture. Trivandrum is one of the most beautiful cities of India. Perched on undulating terrain of low coastal hills near the southern edge of the Indian mainland, clean and green Trivandrum, is an ancient city with trading tradition dating back to 1000 BC. and transfer to Hotel.
 
Then start your city tour in Thiruvananthapuram, which includes a visit to the Zoological Gardens, The Napier Museum.
 
Zoological Gardens:  Zoological Gardens set in sylvan surroundings and acclaimed as one of the best and second oldest zoos of the country with an interesting collection of reptiles - these are some of the places which you are bound to enjoy during your stay in Trivandrum. The zoo is located in a well-planned botanical garden. With huge trees like frangipani and jacaranda dotting the sprawling lawns and wild fowl swimming in the lake, it is like a small jungle in the heart of the city.

The Napier Museum:
Built in the 19th century, the Indo - saracenic structure boasts a "natural" air conditioning system and houses a rare collection of archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. The use of plastic is banned in the museum premises.

Later at the right time you will be departure from the Trivandrum airport for your onward journey or your way back home.
